You're referring to the weapons?

A weapon of mass destruction (WMD) is a term used to describe munitions with the capacity to indiscriminately kill large numbers of human beings. The phrase broadly encompasses several areas of weapon synthesis, including nuclear, biological, chemical (NBC) and, increasingly, radiological weapons.

Portland Suck-Out Open Week #3

Billy takes it. Finnie's new nickname is "Survivor". George made a strong showing outplaying and dominating the table in Ivey like fashion until......disaster struck.

Disaster in the form of suckouts. At least 10 suckouts occured in week three. I have decided skill is not required in this tournament. Just bring your suck out skillz. Let's put all the chips in the middle and play Indian poker, yahtzee, or battleship. Forget Aces, Kings, or Queens. If you think you have an over card or an under pair...play it! It will hit!

Bad Beat(s)- Pats Q-Q sucked out on by Christians A-Q.....only to be destroyed by George's 9-9 sucked out on by Billy's 6-6. Ouch.

Next week: Who Knows....maybe no suckouts and good sound poker? Probably not. Project Runway here I come.

Results:

1- Billy
2- Finnie
3- Marco
4- George
5- Christian
6- Jackie
7- Tim
8- Ryan
9- Pat

Bounty:

Billy- 5
George- 1
Finnie- 1
Christian- 1

Portland Poker Open Week #2

Well folks last night marked week 2 of the 75 week tournament. At least its going to feel that long if each tourney takes 5.5 hours. Maybe we need to modify the blind structure Tim?

Well here's a recap. Last weeks 2nd and 3rd finishers Tim and Sarah went out first and second this time (sorrrry). Big George got crappy cards and was knocked out early as well. Then a surprise guest Brian "The B-Man" Sandberg stopped by and borrowed $20 from Pat. (Who comes to poker night with no money anyway?). He proceeded to lose it faster than humanly possible. He did bring some good pretzel rods though.

"The Oilman" came through again folks. He managed to claw his way back from a short stack and overcome the mound of chips "All In" Billy had in front of him. Lunchbox recovered from the dissapointment of getting duped by Domino's Twisty bread and pulled into 3rd. What books has "The Oilman" been reading on the rig anyway? 2 weeks in a row. We have a regular superstar on our hands.

Bad beat of the night: Lunchbox is all in and flops a straight with A-3. The Oilman calls with pocket 3's and proceeds to catch runner runner runner runner deuces to make a full house. Ouch.

Next week: Jared "The Oilman" is back on the rig and the weekly title is wide open. Will the tournament take 7 hours this time? Will George get better cards? Are we all still getting the odds to call anything? Where is Dwayne?

11th- Tim
10th- Sarah
9th- Big George
8th- Quiet Ryan
7th-B-Man
7th (tie)- Marco
6th- Uncle Packles
5th- Ms. Jackie
4th- "All In"
3rd- Lunch Box
2nd-Christian
1st- Oilman Goodness (again)

Bounty Points: The sheet was left at the house.

Total Points: We'll figure that out next week too.

Portland Poker Open Week #1

Recap:

An exciting start to the 10 week tournament folks. Action started out hot
with loose Billy calling with every hand and eventually getting knocked out by
Sarah's A-7. It was slow and steady for eventual winner "The Oilman" Goodness.
He picked off poker prodigies left and right. He even took a bottle
cap off the neck from "The Face." Other highlights included "The FedEx Man"
slapping Billy in the boob and Sarah innocently calling a triple the blind raise
with 8-2 and making a full boat against Pat's A-Q.

Next week on the Portland Poker Open: Will George make a comeback appearance? Will
"The Oilman" continue his domination? Will "Lunchbox" hit some more M&M's? Where in
world is Dwayne? Stay tuned.

Order of finish:

9th- Billy "All In" Vandervalk
8th- Ms. Jackie
7th- Dan "LunchBox" Finnie
6th- Quiet Ryan
5th- Pat "The Face" Hackleman
4th- Christian "6 Times the BB w/ Aces"
3rd- Timmy "The FedEx Man" Cramer
2nd- Sara "I like to play 8-2 offsuit" Yuber
1st- Jared "The Oilman" Goodness

Missing in action: "You're getting the Odds" George & Dwayne

Total Bounty Points:

BAD BEAT OF THE WEEK:

Sara Zuber string bets with 8-2 offsuit against AQ
all-in from Pat to fill the boat on the turn.
